Honor Community Health is a 501c3 Federally Qualified Health Center co-located within 20 locations. Our mission is to provide for the health and wellness needs of the underserved of Oakland County through the provision of comprehensive, integrated primary, behavioral health, and dental care. Position Description
The Chief of Behavioral Health and Support Services is responsible for the strategic oversight and overall operations of the services and programs under the Behavioral Health service line which include mental health services (clinic and school-based), substance use services, and supervision of the Behavioral Health staff. The CBHSS will function as an administrative leader providing clinical services as outlined core responsibilities, lead behavioral health programs (Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapy, Substance Use Disorder Treatment, Clubhouse, Targeted Case Management, School Based and others) including philosophy of care and treatment, performance improvement, staff recruitment, development and support, clinical productivity and financial performance.
This position is a foundational member of a high performing integrated health care team providing visibility and positive collaboration among other agency departments and external partners. Additionally, the CBHSS will work closely with the executive team in identifying and implementing opportunities for growth and community partnerships.
What are we looking for?
- MSW or PhD in Social Work or related field from an accredited school; current license to practice in the State of Michigan.
- Possess 3 years’ progressive clinical leadership skills.
- Demonstrate competence in working at a senior management level
- Experience with Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) highly preferred.
- FQHC experience and knowledge of primary care and healthcare integration preferred.
- Demonstrate competence in working cooperatively with physicians and other health care professionals in an integrated health setting.
- Past supervisory/leadership experience in developing and evaluating program models, and adept at selecting and successfully implementing innovative programs.
- Knowledge and experience in health care finance, including ability to meet financial performance goals.
- Demonstrate competence in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrate competence in electronic health record, NextGen preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain positive professional relationships at all levels.
- Commitment to the company’s Mission Statement.
- Evidence of sound judgment, sophisticated analytical and leadership skills.
- Experience with Federally Qualified Health Centers is helpful, knowledge of primary care and healthcare integration is preferred.
